Identification
Broader semicircular dark line in frons, 3rd and 4th abdominal tergites with pair of well-separated yellow spots (Vockeroth 1992).
Length: 8.3-14.1 mm (Vockeroth 1992)
Biology
Larvae of Eupeodes lapponicus feed on several species of aphids (Láska and Starý 1980).
Distribution
Alaska, Canada, Greenland, South to California, Mexico, Kentucky, and Virginia; Europe; Asia (Vockeroth 1992).
